The Winnebago County Safety & Security Fair focuses on reaching out to families and individuals in our community to teach them about safety.
Through the programs and demonstrations presented by area law enforcement, public health, fire departments and area businesses we hope to better educate the public on what to do in an emergency, as well as to demonstrate healthy living.
Each and every person in our community can become victim of a crime at any time. Through efforts like the SAFETY & SECURITY FAIR we are trying to answer the question; 'What should you do?' The SAFETY & SECURITY FAIR not only focuses on crime prevention but strives to educate on fire prevention, eating a healthy diet, local programs available to assist the public and businesses in our area that service those needs.

The Winnebago County Sheriff Department will have their BearCat on display. Get a close-up and hands-on view.
The BearCat is a wheeled armored personnel carrier designed for military and law enforcement use. It is in use by numerous military forces and law enforcement agencies around the world. BearCat is an acronym, standing for Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck.
Moonlight Spirit Publications - at 11:00 a.m. Leslie Raddatz, peer advocate, will be speaking on the importance of early diagnoses of Mental Health disorders such as PTSD, Bipolar, Schizophrenic, paranoia and depression. She is a Survivor and thrives in her life after suffering sexual, physical, and emotional abuse from the age of 3-21 years of age.
