May 24, 2012, began my father's new life with God and his loved ones who already passed.
Harry Koster (65) was a father of four girls and a grandpa to six grandchildren. He was a Vetnam Vet who received an honorable discharge and received a Purple Heart after being blown out of a supply truck. His top priority all his life was taking care of his family the best he could with limited finanical means, which many times meant he went without.
He suffered from kidney cancer, diabetes and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He had many surgeries to remove tumors, kidney, his spleen, head of pancrease, had blood transfusions and received many treatments to keep the cancer under control for eight years. He had a wonderful attitude. When asked about his cancer, he would said: I am not dying of cancer, I am living with cancer.
He never complained about what he had to do to stay alive. He didn't leave his family until they were ready and he knew they would be okay with his passing. He will be missed by his family, friends and others he touched without knowing it.
The family is asking rather than flowers, to please make a small donation towards helping Leslie's disabled mother while she waits for the survivor benefits to begin. Please send all donations to Leslie Raddatz, who is taking care of her mother's finances, at PO Box 2452, Oshkosh, WI 54903.
Thank you and God Bless!
Leslie Raddatz
